Classifications
The QVGS SentimentMood Indicator measures the sentiment of the component stocks and ascribes a score from -3 to 3 to the component stocks of an investment universe at a point in time as follows:
Extreme Greed (3) | Greed (2) | Bullish (1) | Neutral (0) | Bearish (-1) | Fear (-2) | Extreme Fear (-3)
For ease, buckets 3 & 2 are classified as Greed components, and -2 and -3 are classified as Fear components.
Interpretation
Dominant Sentiment
Greed – The Greed stocks bucket is > 25%.
Bullish – The Bullish stocks bucket is > 50%.
Neutral – Both the Bullish stocks & the Bearish stocks buckets are <50%.
Bearish – The Bearish stocks bucket is > 50%.
Fear – The Fear stocks bucket is > 25%.
Sentiment Trends
Rising – The Bullish stocks bucket is increasing & the Bearish stocks bucket is decreasing.
Polarizing – Both the Bullish stocks and the Bearish stocks buckets are increasing.
Stalling – Both the Bullish stocks and the Bearish stocks buckets are decreasing.
Falling – The Bearish stocks bucket is increasing & the Bullish stocks bucket is decreasing.

- Shades of Red represent Bearish Camp with the sentiments of Bearish, Fear, and Extreme Fear.
- Shades of Green/ Blue represent the Bullish camp with the sentiments of Bullish, Greed, and Extreme Greed.
- The sloping trendline provides the Bias.
