Classifications
The QVGS ValueScore Indicator classifies component stocks of an investment universe into 6 buckets at a point in time by ascribing a score of 0 to 5 as follows:
Deep Discount (0) | Fair Discount (1) | Right Priced (2) | Fairly Expensive (3) | Highly Expensive (4) | Trended (5)
For ease, the Deep Discount and Fair Discount buckets are classified as the Discounted bucket, while the Fairly Expensive and Highly Expensive buckets are classified as the Expensive bucket.
Interpretation
Dominant Valuation
Expensive – Maximum components are in the Expensive & Trending stock buckets combined.
Middle – Maximum components are Right-priced stocks bucket.
Discounted – Maximum components are in the stocks Discounted bucket.
Valuation Trends
Trending – The Trending stocks bucket is increasing & the Discounted bucket is decreasing.
Polarizing – Both the Trending stocks and the Discounted stocks buckets are increasing.
Stalling – Both the Trending stocks and the Discounted stocks buckets are decreasing.
Falling – The Discounted stocks bucket is increasing & the Trending stocks bucket is decreasing.
Active Value
- Green represents Undervalued components.
- Yellow represents the Right-priced components.
- Red represents the Overvalued components.
- Blue represents the Trending components (which are overvalued but in long-term momentum)
